A brief history of the brief history of our organization…

DHN Studios is a brand new venture into voice recording and podcasting founded in Mid-Michigan by aspiring adult Joe Listing. Our stated mission is to provide passable audio entertainment in as many stupid voices as possible. Our hopes for the future include greater community awareness and outreach, participation of local artists and businesses, and basically doing whatever the hell we feel like doing to bring joy to your empty heart, you beautiful monster you.

Who knows? Maybe someday we’ll be able to drum up volunteers and donations to local charities. Maybe we’ll sell some dumb merch with nonsense words on it. Maybe even rent a hall for a fancy party and show up drunk in drag, call all our enemies and leave rambling voicemails about how little faith they had in us, and wear sunglasses on a TV show while avoiding questions about family. The mind boggles at the potential for glamour.

Somewhere south of town on a quiet cul-de-sac, there lies a small cottage the color of wintergreen. This is Duma’s House, where the deer make their slow way through the wooded back lot in the morning, the birds spend their days flitting between feeders, the rabbits do their best to go unnoticed among the low plants, and the roses are always blooming.

Though Duma herself has passed from this place, no longer to be seen fussing over flowers, pulling weeds, and taking potshots at the squirrels, we carry on in memory of her.

Here, love and growth take pride of place. Here, there will always be a welcoming seat at the table, usually with a well-worn deck of playing cards close at hand,

and there will ALWAYS be chocolate.
